Dr. Ram Joshi (died September 14, 1998) was a distinguished educator and served as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mumbai from 1977 to 1983. He was instrumental in shaping higher education in Mumbai and was a pioneer in reforming pre-school education, advocating for the "play-way" method.
Vice-Chancellor Role:
Led the University of Mumbai (formerly Bombay) from 1977 to 1983.
Academic Leadership:
Served as the Principal of SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce for 17 years, establishing it as a center of excellence.
Educational Reforms:
Known as an architect of pre-school education reforms, promoting "education-fun" for children. Formed Fulora Foundation in 1984 with Adman Mr Arun Sabnis for uplifting the lives of underprivileged children, Women and Farmers.
Legacy:
Recognized as a dedicated academician and crusader for educational advancement.
